The CCBA of New England Drum and Dulcimer Ensemble is a music group in the Greater Boston area that specializes in the performance of Chinese folk instruments – the Chinese Hammered Dulcimer and the drum. Its members consist of American-Born young people who love Chinese culture and Chinese folk music.
In order to better promote the art of Chinese traditional music, we will develop and expand the Ensemble. Under the tutelage of Professor Zhang Zhentian, and with enthusiastic support from parents and the community, the Ensemble will be able to gain prominence and accomplish their mission.
The CCBA-NE Drum and Dulcimer Ensemble, with their serious attitude, highly skilled and precise playing style, and deep understanding of their music, will earn the praise and recognition from the audience. Currently the EnseDrum-Dulcimer-ensemblermble performs numerous well-known songs such as Dance Tune of the Yao Ethnic Group, Swan, Rondo Alla Turca, Skylark…, and profound classical music such as the General’s Command, Zhaojun’s Grief, Pondering in Autumn, and Da Lang Tao Sha.

Members of this Ensemble have performed for universities, churches, museums, senior centers, and community organizations. The Ensemble promises to make significant contribution to the promotion of Chinese culture and the Arts.

Through performances and music appreciation, the Ensemble will integrate into mainstream society and encourage cultural exchanges in order to enhance friendship and communication with other cultures and communities. Currently enrolling new students for the Fall term starting in September.
